Overview

The Domain Baseline Analysis page gives insight into how domain performance is trending compared to a baseline average. 

How to Find the Domain Baseline Analysis Page

The Domain Baseline Analysis Page can be found in the the left-side portal menu under Tag & Content Governance, then Domain Baseline Analysis. 

How to Navigate the Domain Baseline Analysis Page

By default the data displayed is the last 7 days of real user data compared to the average for the last 30 days as the baseline. This can be changed using the quick filters bar at the top of the page. Changing the baseline will update the Average Resource Load Time by Domain table below to reflect the number of days averaged. 

Performance Details Graph

The graph at the top is showing the page-level performance trend over the past 7 days with the 30 day averages shown as dotted lines.

Notice you can toggle between two different versions of this graph: All Measurements and With Only Resource Timings Collected. The one on the left shows performance for all measurements, where the one on the right shows the performance for measurements where Resource Timings (or Object Level Detail) was also collected - which is the set of data that’s used to produce all of the graphs below.

Average Load Time by Domain Table

This table lists each domain observed and the average load time for each day over the time period selected (the last 7 days in the example).

On the right side of the table, there are 3 columns representing averages over the selected baseline for these domains:

  • Avg Load time
  • Avg Percentage of Total Elements on the page
  • Avg Number of elements per page.

If any of the daily numbers are worse than the 30 day average by 15% or more, the box will appear as red, and if any of the daily numbers are better than the 30 day average by 15% or more, the box will appear green.

Note that all tables in this page can be exported as a CSV, TSV, JSON, or Array using the Export button at the top right of the table.

Domain and Object Level Detail Graph

View this data aggregated over time using the Domain and Object Level Detail waterfalls. 

Switch between viewing the Domain Level and Object Level Details by clicking the tabs in the top left.

View 1st Party, 3rd Party, or All domains by clicking the corresponding buttons.

By default, the Aggregate Waterfall will display the slowest domains before 120 Seconds, to change this, select the dropdown indicated in the image below.  

Toggle between a graph and table view using the button on the right of the page. Like the aggregate waterfall page you can trend each domain or resource in the tables by clicking the icon to the left.

The Domain Level Detail table columns are customizable. Select the "Customize Table" on the right side of the page. Drag and drop the columns to Include or Exclude them from your view.

Resource Timings by File

At the very bottom of the page you can view the Resource Timings by File table. Here we can see which domain each resource belongs to, how many times this resource was observed (or element count) and more timing information.

Filters

Change the filters at the top of the page or click the filter icon to open the full list of filter options.
